CLASS SKILLS

ALCHEMY

Learn alchemy by making potions and infusions as shown here.

ANIMAL EMPATHY

Learn animal empathy by showing affection to your pet.  Read more here.

APPRAISE

Learn by appraising items.  More expensive items will teach more appraisal.  Avoid repeatedly appraising items in heavily populated areas, as this can be disruptive to the roleplay environment.

CLIMB

Currently the only place to learn is the rock face leading from the young giant hunting area to the stone giant area.

DISABLE DEVICE

Learn by disabling traps on treasure boxes.  Hold the box in your right hand, and DISABLE <BOX>.

HANDLE ANIMAL

Learn by training your pet.  Read more here.

HEAL

Learn by tending bleeding wounds (deep cuts or worse).  You'll need bandages, which can be purchased at the general store in Semanri, and are also dropped by critters.  Hold the bandages in your hand and TEND MY <BODYPART>, or TEND <OTHER PERSON> <BODYPART>.

HIDE

Learned by hiding from other players, or NPC'S.  Begin by hiding in the same room with players, and as your skill increases, hide from critters.

LISTEN

MOVE SILENTLY

Learned by sneaking into an area that is occupied by a player or NPC.  As with hiding, begin with players and then move to critters.

PICK POCKETS

Hide, and STEAL <PERSON>.   Stealing from the wrong person can get you killed, so use your best judgement.

SEARCH

Learned by SEARCHing for hidden players.  Also learned when foraging for branches and herbs (wilderness lore).

USE MAGIC DEVICE

Learned by tuning or attempting to tune a fragment.  Avoid repeatedly tuning your fragment in heavily populated areas, as this can be disruptive to the roleplay environment.

WILDERNESS LORE

Learned by foraging for branches or herbs.  In non-urban areas (outside of town gates) type FORAGE <ITEM>.  Branches are easiest to forage.  Foragable herbs include: gantaya root, kitanu root, miil weed, t'hakon thorn, haanab leaf, lenthanii twig and yereshi stem.  Additional foraging information.
